motion picture

a multimodal series of film and art works that explore how cinema writes/re-writes history. shot spontaneously in various locations with handfuls of volunteer actors, showcased in galleries at the ends of the earth, and shown secretly in the living rooms of the willing, motion picture is an ongoing collaborative venture with the fluff constructivists.

the chapters range in content from envisioning the life of pioneer woman jenny wiley, captured and tortured by natives in 1789, a video that imagines anchorwoman christine chubbuck’s last moments on earth before ending her life on live television in 1974, and exploring the mental collapse of an aged script supervisor on a production set where the filmic and real worlds collide.
