I use writing, film, video, sculpture, installation, photography, and performance to explore how the visual knowledge we possess about ourselves, our environments, and each other is often established and controlled by institutions through narrative and myth, and how images can paradoxically serve as sites of resistance and subjectivation. I seek out collaborations with other artists and communities and endeavor to make work that looks beyond systemic critique towards more reparative modes of cultural production.
